Is this the same as the QR code in WhatsApp itself?
No. WhatsApp's own code adds you as a contact and can be reset. This one encodes a wa.me link, so it opens a chat with a pre-written message — and it keeps working even if you reset your WhatsApp code.
What format should the number be in?
International, digits only, no plus sign needed and no leading zero — so a UK number 07700 900123 becomes 447700900123. The tool strips spaces and symbols for you.
What if they do not have WhatsApp?
The link opens the WhatsApp website, which invites them to install it. If your audience may not use WhatsApp, an SMS or phone code is a safer choice.
Does my data get uploaded anywhere?
No. The code is drawn in your browser with JavaScript — nothing you type is sent to AroraLabs or to any other server, and nothing is stored. You can prove it: load the tool, go offline, and it still works.
