A Solar System running in a browser tab. No plugin, no app, no textures to download — every planet surface is painted by code in the moment the page loads. Nobody asked for it. We built it to find out how far a browser could be pushed, and kept the answer.
The Sun, eight planets, five dwarf planets, the asteroids spacecraft have landed on, 31 moons, both belts and the Milky Way, on their real orbits — inside the real night sky, all 8,920 naked-eye stars in their true places, with an atlas of famous stars and the planets found around them. Every figure is sourced from NASA, JPL or ESA — and where the distances are squeezed to fit a screen, which is everywhere, the page says so out loud rather than quietly cheating.
